Camry Ivory is a Kansas City-based visual musician whose interdisciplinary practice explores the intersection of art, music, and technology. Ivory is the inventor of Coloratura, an innovative electronic instrument that transforms paintbrushes into MIDI controllers to compose digital music and analog artwork simultaneously. Through live performances and interactive workshops, Camry invites audiences to reimagine visual and auditory expression. Her work is grounded in the belief that technology can facilitate new ways of creative perception and participation and amplify, rather than replace, innate human creativity.
As a performer and facilitator, Camry has collaborated with Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Charlotte Street Foundation, Nelson Atkins Art Museum, and Hallmark. Her social practice includes partnerships with Harmony Project music therapy program, NeuroArts Blueprint Initiative, Kansas School for the Blind and Kansas City STEM Alliance.
Dandelion Lakewood is an otherworldly bard: a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, audio engineer, sound designer, and video maker born in Kansas City.
As if emerged from an ancient, abandoned temple woven from thriving, thick green foliage, Dandy conjures musical spells for creatures of distant realms so that they can remember their sovereign power and lift each other up.
Lakewood integrates various styles into his eclectic blend of indie, folk, blues, jazz, noise, ambient, americana, balkan, middle eastern and psychedelic sounds. He also hosts a podcast, Voice Seeker, which features perspectives from a global assortment of speakers.
